Families are offered two ways to homeschool—through Lighthouse Christian Academy or through Independent Homeschool. The third reason many parents choose to give their children a home school education is fear for their safety. They will also meet with your student regularly to collect work samples and discuss homeschooling methods, progress, curriculum, and grade level standards.

Others use them to identify any potential gaps in their curriculum or their child’s retention of it. Time4Learning’s standards-based curriculum builds the skills that students are tested on normed tests. We partner directly with our students and parent educators to support individualized student learning and academic success.

It is this newer group of home schoolers who are challenging the historical dichotomies between public and private, school and home, formal and informal that have played such an important role in the movement’s self-definition and in American education policy.

Your personal Education Specialist will help guide the choices, making sure California State and grade level standards are being met in creative and engaging ways that work best for your child. The Lewis-Palmer HomeSchool Enrichment Academy (HSEA) is a program designed to support families of homeschooled students in kindergarten through 8th grade.

Adult education gives high quality education for adults to improve their standard in the society, and it can be continued at any stage of their life. The availability of distance learning is expanding as the Internet and the number of people using it continues to grow. The classes are designed so that the students who are not physically in the classroom are able to remain interactive participants in the learning process.

Although they may have made transformative adjustments and Herculean efforts to survive parents whose betraying, harmful behavior was fueled by alcoholic toxins, they attempted to manage and decipher irrationality and emerged as physically identifiable adults, but did so with frightened inner children who viewed the world the way it was portrayed in their homes-of-origin.

Home School Enrichment Academy

Every parent wants to believe that their child behaves appropriately at all times. The perception that homeschooling is almost exclusively religious is old hat. Some home educators prefer to be regulated, but others question whether the government has any legitimate authority to oversee the choices parents make to raise and educate their children.

They play a key role in supporting your homeschooling experience so that your child can succeed and get the most out of his or her homeschool education. Sixteen and seventeen year old home school students wishing to obtain a General Educational Diploma, must complete a GED Release form.

A qualified, neutral test proctor must administer an approved test before August 15th at the end of grades 3, 5, 8, and 10. If your child has never attended public or private school, the first test must be completed prior to the end of grade 3 and continue to the end of grades 5, 8, and 10. If your child was withdrawn from public school, they are exempt from testing for 18 months; students then follow the standard testing schedule.

Students in grades 6-8 can choose from several elective offerings in those subjects and more. Our Home School Program will be offered Mondays from October 7, 2019, through May 18, 2020, not including holidays. All students enrolled in an open home school listed with DNPE must be tested annually.

The decision to homeschool your child is a personal decision made by families and parents and the district will support that decision according to the guidelines set forth by the Minnesota Department of Education.
